Hi Linda,

I would just like to say a huge thank you for the superb service you provided.  Lakeview provided a smooth, extremely efficient service and everything was handled delicately and with the utmost care and empathy.  You took the distress of having to make any arrangements for the collection of Daisy out of my hands. To be greeted with a warm hug and friendly smile made everything OK.

Thank you so much.

Just wanted to say thank you so much for the welcome you gave my daughter, sister and myself on Saturday.  I have to say I was very impressed  with your set up and how you could empathise with how we were all feeling.  Having met you, and seen how you deal with a "loved one" I was completely reassured that Jasper had been handled with dignity and respect, and I would have no hesitation in recommending you.  I also thought the forget me not seeds and card were a lovely touch.

The personal service we recieved was first class and to be recommended to other bereaved pet owners.

Hi Linda,
Sherrill and I would like to thank you whole heartedly for the service you provided at Lakeview, from my initial phone call through to the collection of Smudge, we could not have asked for anymore, nothing was too much trouble and the way you showed respect, compassion and dignity made this difficult time a little easier knowing Smudge was treated in such a professional manner.
We can not thank you enough and would have no hesitation in recommending Lakeview Pet Crematorium to friends or family who have unfortunately lost a beloved pet.

Kind Regards
Craig and Sherrill.

Dear Linda and Richard

My wife Sandy and I would like to thank you for the way in which you dealt with us when we brought our beloved cat Henry to you to be cremated.  It is always a difficult experience when you pass over a part of your family to someone you have never met, but when we left Lakeside, we knew he was in caring hands an could not have asked for more.

There is no doubt that we shall be recommending you to friends and colleagues and cannot thank you enough for the genuine empathy you both displayed at such a sad time.

Thank you once again.

Kindest regards

Hello Linda
I am writing this email to say thank you for taking such good care of Arya and how tasteful everything was. Myself and the rest of the family were truly moved by the quickness but professional way everything was dealt with and also the personal touches you included when delivering our dog back to us. The forget-me-nots and card were a lovely idea and we really appreciate it.
Thank you once again for the thought that was put into the job that you do.

Frequently asked questions:

What types of pet can be cremated at Lakeview Pet Crematorium?

Lakeview Pet Crematorium receives a wide range of domestic pets, from small animals such as guinea pigs, rabbits and cats through to breeds of large dog, such as New foundlands.

What options are available for my pet?

We at Lakeview Pet Crematorium will make every effort to meet your specific requests, always according both you and your pet the utmost dignity and respect at what is often a distressing time.

You can choose an individual cremation and have your pet’s ashes returned to you in a casket, urn or scatter pouch of your choice. Alternatively, you may wish to choose a communal cremation in which you pet is cremated in the company of another pet, following which the ashes can be scattered among the trees in our parkland garden.

What does an individual cremation actually mean?

For an individual cremation, only one pet is cremated, following which all the ashes of that pet are collected and returned to the owner in the chosen casket, urn or scatter pouch.

How long does an individual cremation take to perform?

The time required for an individual cremation will depend upon the size of the animal concerned. The process will be longer for a large dog, for example, than for a smaller pet, such as a rabbit.

Can I be present at the time of my pet’s individual cremation?

We extend a heartfelt welcome to anyone who wishes to make a personal visit to Lakeview Pet Crematorium. However, since the complete cremation process may take several hours, we recommend that owners spend some time in quiet reflection – perhaps in a country walk or in the nearby town of Market Deeping – before returning to collect the ashes.

When is Lakeview Pet Crematorium open?

We are open from 9am until 5pm each weekday. We have an out-of-hours, weekend and bank holiday service available. We are closed on Christmas Day and Boxing Day. If required, you can also ask your veterinary surgery to contact us on your behalf.

Can I bring my pet to Lakeview Pet Crematorium?

Yes. Simply telephone to make a prior appointment and we shall give you a heartfelt welcome.

Do you collect from home?

Yes. Simply telephone us and we shall make arrangements for collection and for the return of the ashes, if required.

Should I consider future options before my pet dies?

The loss of a loved companion can be very distressing, making it difficult to come to definite decisions. Therefore, some people find it helpful to talk to relatives or close friends about their wishes for a dignified final farewell for their pet.

What choices do I have for my pet’s ashes?

Each person can choose the most appropriate option according to individual preferences. Our range of beautiful urns and caskets provide a lovely memorial for a favourite garden spot or for display in in your home.

Some people may leave instructions that their pet’s ashes are placed with them when they eventually pass away and are interred or cremated.

Some people may choose to scatter the ashes at a location that carries treasured memories – for example, a favourite walk or a hillside vantage point. Others may choose to have the ashes scattered among the trees in our own parkland garden here at Lakeview House.

What advice would you give about choosing another pet?

The length of grieving following the loss of a pet may often be influenced by a range of factors, so each person’s experience will be unique. We recommend that you talk to relatives or close friends before making your decision, which may be influenced by such factors as your age, health, mobility and future accommodation plans.

What is the Association of Private Pet Cemeteries and Crematoria?

The Association of Private Pet Cemeteries and Crematoria sets Europe-wide standards for pet cemeteries, crematoria and pet cremation, giving people reassurance that their pet will be treated with dignity and respect. Lakeview Pet Crematorium is a member of the association and our facility has been inspected by representatives of the association. For more information visit: www.appcc.org.uk.
